Jay Chou Loses $20,000 In Casino

Jay Chou (周杰倫) held a concert at The Venetian Macao last night.Although, during the concert at the casino resort, Jay told his fans not to gamble, afterwards, in an interview, he admitted that he did gamble and had lost HK$20,000.Onstage he said: "My mum told me not to go to casinos because you'll lose a lot of money. I only came to this casino to see you all."He asked rhetorically: "Did you come to watch my show or to gamble?"His fans shouted back: "To watch your show!"Security at the concert was tight. Food and glow-sticks were prohibited, and members of the audience had their bags searched on entry.Some fans managed to smuggle glow-sticks in, and Jay, in an act of defiance, asked them to throw these onto the stage so he could use these as drumsticks.Jay's mother and grandmother attended. Stars in the audience included Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Andrew Lau (劉偉強), Jaime Chik (戚美珍) and members of Macao's powerful Ho family.

The 19th Golden Melody Awards were held tonight at 台北小巨蛋 Taipei Arena; the entertainment for the evening was both brilliant and abundant. The opening routine of the hosts was hilarious: Tao JingYing (TaoZi) cleverly appeared as Machi's oldest brother, Jeff Huang LiCheng, while Dee Hsu (Xiao S) dressed as Jay Chou JieLun, sister Barbie Hsu (Da S) appeared as Jolin Tsai YiLin, and Patty Hou PeiCen rounded out the group as A-mei Chang HuiMei. The "scandal" singers (Double J) thus appeared on stage together in a "different" way, and, together with the witty, comedic dialogue, raised the excitement and "atmosphere" of the audience.The Golden Melody Awards ceremony typically garners a lot of attention and interest; this year, in addition to the comedic opening routine, the four hosts also imitated the Beatles, performing a purposely weird and exaggerated version of 歡樂年華 [Huan Le Nian Hua] [Age of Happiness].The first performer of the evening was pop diva A-mei Chang HuiMei. Heading a band and a group of dancers, she performed 永遠的快樂 [Yong Yuan De Kuai Le] [A Happiness For Forever], 壞女孩 [Huai Nu Hai] [Bad Girl], Kiss, and 薇多利亞的秘密 [Wei Duo Li Ya De Mi Mi] [Victoria's Secret]. Wearing a wig, which was fashioned into a punkish updo, A-mei heat up the venue quickly, even exchanging a "Kiss" with one of her band members and bringing her own unique star quality and charm to the Golden Melody stage."City Piano Man" Daniel Powter then captivated the audience by performing several songs, singing soulfully while playing the piano. Johnny's Entertainment's Gokusen Trio presented a true-to-origins Japanese idol performance. The members did not forget to say in Mandarin, "We are very happy to be in Taiwan!" and "We really like Taiwan!," thus bringing them closer to their Taiwanese fans.Yoga Lin YouJia and Aska Yang ZongWei, both singers of the "new" era, performed 天天想你 [Tian Tian Xiang Ni] [Think of You Every Day], 獨上西樓 [Du Shang Xi Lou] [Going Up to the Western Wing By Myself], 機場 [Ji Chang] [Airport], etc., to pay their respects and tribute to these deceased singers. Senior musicians also brought a few classics to the stage: Emil Chau HuaJian sang 明天我要嫁給你 [Ming Tian Wo Yao Jia Gei Ni] [Tomorrow, I Will Marry You], 羅大佑 Luo DaYou performed his own hit, 戀曲1980 [Lian Qu 1980] [1980 Love Song], and 李宗盛 Li ZongCheng sang 我是一隻小小鳥 [Wo Shi Yi Zhi Xiao Xiao Niao] [I Am a Little Bird].While on stage, award presenter and Hakka artist 劉劭希 Liu ShaoXi complained, "Why are there no Hakka programs in this year's Golden Melody Award ceremony?" AZIO TV, which organized this year's event, explained that, every year, two out of three of the minority languages in Taiwan (MinNan or Hokkien, Hakka, and Native Taiwanese - Aboriginal) are represented in the evening's programs. The languages are rotated from ceremony to ceremony: last year, Hokkien and Haka were used; this year, an aboriginal language and Hokkien were used; next year, Hakka and an aboriginal language would be used.

新生代歌手林宥嘉和楊宗緯演唱「天天想你」、「獨上西樓」、「機場」等歌曲，向已故歌手致敬。資深音樂人也帶來經典作品，周華健獻唱「明天我要嫁給你」，羅大佑演唱「戀曲1980」，李宗盛則唱「我是一隻小小鳥」。

Wu Chun Wishes To Marry Ah Sa

Charlene and Wu Chun are the leads to the love+action+myth film . On 11th June, they were in Beijing's 5 star resturant to celebrate the completion of filming. Male and female leads have met for 4 months, establishing alot of chemistry, on stage and off stage they are like a duet, very similar to that of a couple of the early stages of a relationship. Wu Chun asked Ah Sa, "Are you willing to go to Brunei?". With Ah Sa answering, "To go and be queen?" With the observer feeling mushy by their flirting! Wu Chun Takes Responsiblity While filming a scene of a hero saving beauty, Ah Sa in the confusion wrongly used force on her arm, thus spraining herself.

They are cute. They are fun. They are multi-taskers. Meet Lollipop, the latest flavour of Taiwan. Comprising Owodog (26), Lil Jay (22), A-Wei (23), Fabien (23), Prince (19) and William (23), these singing, dancing, acting and hosting talents were first put together by CHANNEL [V] through its reality show of the same title. But the Lollipops are quick to dismiss that they are the next F4. "We are not like F4," the boys say in an interview in Singapore. "They are much taller and better looking than us. We don't set out to be teen idols. We just want to be ourselves."Tough luck, guys. You are already the new teen idols in this part of the world. Their soaring high popularity is further cemented with a hit teen drama, Black Sugar Macchiato.

“First of all I 'd like to say hi to all present.All the friends from the press and the entrepreneurs from "Sunrider", good afternoon, I am Zaizai, Zhou Yumin. Today, it is my great honor to represent the UNICEF to attend this ceremony. I believe, since the moment that tragic disaster occurred and even months after that, the earth quake in Sichuan Province has shocked not only me myself but everyone. The constant media reports about the earth quake must have made everyone including me deeply sorrowful . However ,what I felt comforted is that we Chinese are very united towards the disaster. Ever afterwards, I see the national unity ,I see the power of people ,and I see the love of people, and what is more, the will of firmness and persistence towards the disaster. Everyone who works for the UNICEF is demonstrating these good spirits by their work, I think take our friendly - ambassador Jacky Chen, brother Jacky, for example, he came to Sichuan himself to send them love and caring. As for me, I will also appeal to people all around the world to give out a hand to help the victims of the earthquake in Sichuan. The destruction is Sichuan is very severe ,which is clear to all and need not to be further stressed by me ,we should work hard and in good wish that we wil make some difference to their lives and raise enough fund for the re-construction. The most important purpose of my trip here today is to tell you all that the re-construction program is not a easy task, it is already a tough job for the infrastructure re-construction, not mentioning the re-construction of the whole city. However, as for us UNICEF, we care more about the kids, and how to maintain their healthy psychological status long after the earthquake is always on our mind . This is important yet easy to be ignored, people may concentrate on the re-construction of the city. What I conceive is that it is a life-long project to help maintain those kids psychologically healthy. At the point, I ‘d like to give my sincere thanks to “Sunrider” for what it has contributed to Sichuan, we, the UNICEF, will make good use of the money to build the kids in the earthquake area a better place for both physical and psychological recovery. Months and even years after, we will pay constant carings and attentions to these kids. We will also give them some toys and stationeries ,I think this is for the purpose to help them release their sorrowness by painting and hope this may relieve them a short while from all the horrible memories. We hope to let them know that there are many kind-hearted people care about them out there in this world, they are not alone. It is a long –term mission for the re-construction, I ‘d like to thank the “Sunrider” company again for all their efforts and contributions, and also hope all that present can tell your friends around , and pass on our love message.
