Jay Chou (周杰倫) held a concert at The Venetian Macao last night.Although, during the concert at the casino resort, Jay told his fans not to gamble, afterwards, in an interview, he admitted that he did gamble and had lost HK$20,000.Onstage he said: "My mum told me not to go to casinos because you'll lose a lot of money. I only came to this casino to see you all."He asked rhetorically: "Did you come to watch my show or to gamble?"His fans shouted back: "To watch your show!"Security at the concert was tight. Food and glow-sticks were prohibited, and members of the audience had their bags searched on entry. Some fans managed to smuggle glow-sticks in, and Jay, in an act of defiance, asked them to throw these onto the stage so he could use these as drumsticks.Jay's mother and grandmother attended. Stars in the audience included Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Andrew Lau (劉偉強), Jaime Chik (戚美珍) and members of Macao's powerful Ho family.
