Vicki Zhao kick-starts motherhood with a big paycheck
While in Shanghai to be on a panel of judges for Shanghai International Film Festival 2010, new mommy Vicki Zhao also resumes work proper.
The actress was reportedly paid TWD 4.7m (S$210,000) for shooting a mobile phone advertisement, her first paid assignment since giving birth. The star was reported to be in good shape after slimming down
According to reports, Vicki's contract with the mobile phone company was negotiated long before Vicki's pregnancy was made known to the public.
Despite the turn of events, the company went on to ink the contract later, a show of confidence by Vicki and the company that she will be able to resume work on time.
Vicki's good friends from My Fair Princess, actress Ruby Lin and director Wang Xiaoshuai, also visited the new mommy to do some catching-up over red wine.
Besides the change in location, the humble star was described as undemanding and easygoing during the shoot. She did not make any special requests with regards to food, a common occurrence among big names in showbiz.
